Bike Emory Video Contest

Have a favorite ‘two wheel’ movie? Breaking Away? Easy Rider? E.T.? Wild Hogs? Now it’s time to film your own flick.

Bike Emory wants you to put your bikes and your cameras to creative use. We are holding a contest for the best bike videos (we’ll post the winners and best videos on the iTunes University and Bike Emory sites).

  • Our theme: Get Out The Bike (shamelessly based on an election year theme: ‘get out the vote’)

  • Our start date and deadline: We will start accepting submissions on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 and the deadline is Friday, April 18, 2008.

  • Our prizes: Winners will receive fame, fortune and a free Fuji bike, with lock, light, helmet and an iPod. Runners up will win iPod Nanos plus all contestants get a prize.

  • Basic contest criteria: Videos must be no more than 4 minutes in length; winners will be judged on: relevance to the theme (Get Out the Bike); originality, creativity, world wide audience appeal and positive message.

Cameras, editing software and technical support will all be provided for free. All you need is a little creativity and you can win!

If you want to submit a video all you have to do is:

ONE: Take a moment to read the contest rules (everything you need to know is in here)

TWO: Print off a copy of the registration form and fill it out

THREE: Print off a copy of the release form below and fill it out

FOUR: Submit your forms and video to ECIT located in room 217 on the main floor of the Woodruff Library.

If you have any questions after you’ve read the contest rules you can always email us at info@bike.emory.edu.

So grab your camera and get rolling! It may pay off with a new bike and more!
