Hey, be very careful if you use a motorized pump such as one at a gas station – it is very easy to blow a tire off the rim!

Bar ends were invented as a climbing aid. They aid climbing by opening up your upper body while climbing out of the saddle. They also help to weight the front wheel to help keep it on the ground while climbing steep terrain.

They also have the benefit of improving comfort by offering multiple hand positions. This is the reason most people put bar ends on, currently.

What are the benefits, if any, of bar ends or handle bar extensions on mountain and hybrid bikes?

Please make the bike share program easier to locate for students. Many call the Transportation Office looking for informtion about the program. After assisting the last student on the phone, I must agree that it is not easy to find. many students are not familar with campus, so also include a map of locations.

Bicycle South has been stocking the Raleigh Coasting model which does feature a coaster brake and 3 speed automatic shifting. We're currently sold out of the women's frame and there is a ddelay in getting more from Raleigh. Come on by the shop and check out the men's version. If the idea is appealing, we can call when they do arrive.

This is HOTlanta-- in order to bike regularly to campus during the summer, we need showers. Can't we get free access to WoodPEC showers in exchange for giving up our cars? thanks.
