News: Bike Rental is Here!

2008 Crosstown

We heard your feedback. Many Emory students and staff would like to ride a bike at Emory but need an option other than buying a new bike. In response, Bike Emory is unveiling a test-run of the Bike Emory Rental program, starting today!

The pilot will begin with just over a dozen Fuji Crosstown (see picture at right) bicycles, each equipped with racks and fenders to make your ride hassle free. Available for just $75 per semester (or $130 per year), plus $15 for a U-Lock rental*, the same high quality Fuji bikes available for purchase are now available for rent!

Interested in renting? All you have to do is visit the rental page, where you can check out the bikes, learn how to estimate the right size bike for you, and order your own Bike Emory Rental bike! After you’ve placed your order, Bicycle South inspect the bike, and arrange delivery to campus at the HUB (formerly Mobile Repair Center), where you can pick it up and start riding. Or you can swing by Bicycle South to pick it up at your convenience!

All rentals will include the following maintenance: Broken chain replacement (as needed), flat tire repairs, and unlimited brake, derailleur, and basic adjustments.

Bicycles rented later in the semester are eligible for a prorated rental rate; this and other rental details can be found here.

  • Have your own U-Lock? We will happily waive the fee! Just bring your lock with you when you pick up your bike.
