Join us for HealthSTAT’s Annual Political Leadership Institute! Learn how to be an effective advocate for health care issues that are important to you. Our agenda this year includes:
Bill Burns, JD, Georgia Advocacy Director, American Heart Association, will be discussing effective advocacy and navigating the Georgia legislature.
Arthur Kellermann, MD, MPH, Associate Dean for Health Policy, Emory University, will lead us in an interactive media training session.
Fred Boykin, Decatur City Commissioner, will use the Safe Routes to School project as an example of how local advocates took a concept, found support and funding, and leveraged it nationally to bring back $17 million to improve the health of Georgians.

The Political Leadership Institute is free for HealthSTAT members and $10 for non-HealthSTAT members. Payment will be accepted at the door.
The Rollins School of Public Health is located at 1518 Clifton Road NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30322. Parking is available at the Michael Street Parking Deck located off of Houston Mill Road.
