News: Ride To Campus Day 2008 A Hit!
The Bike Emory team would like to thank the 75 riders who participated in this years Ride To Campus Day event. This year’s turnout was 20 riders higher than last year! Thanks for turning out to support cycling in the Clifton community.
Congratulations to the riders from the Medical School. These riders are recipients of a free catered lunch for getting the most riders to participate.
Also congratulations to Kismet Scarborough. Kismet had the longest commute (23 miles!) and is the winner of a $50 Bicycle South gift certificate.
The winner of the costume contest was Eric Foote from the School of Medicine. Eric sacrificed aerodynamics for style and is the recipient of a $25 Bicycle South gift certificate.
Thank you again to all of the participating cyclists in the Bike to Campus Day ride. Today’s successful event is evidence of a growing bicycling culture in the Emory community and we hope to see even more riders at the National Bike To Work Day event in the spring.
