News: Upcoming Bike Safety Class - September 14th

Would you like to ride a bicycle in metro Atlanta but feel unsure of where to ride or how to do so safely and confidently?

Do you wish you knew more about the rules to follow, how to avoid crashes, and what to do in case of a flat tire?

Do you want to gain enough knowledge to teach your children to ride carefully and wisely on their own?

If yes, then consider registering for our next Confident City Cycling class at Emory. All classes are led by certified instructors from our friends at the Atlanta Bicycle Campaign.

Next safety class:

Date: September 14th, 2008

Time: 1:00pm - 6:30pm

Location: 1762 Clifton Road - Plaza 1000 (Rear of building)

Cost: $35 and $10 for Emory Students, Faculty and Staff

Each class will teach you the rules of the road, how to perform basic maintenance on your bike and will include an actual ride with an instructor. The ride will teach you how to maneuver in traffic, avoid pot holes and how to maintain control of your bike if you have to make a sudden stop.
